The second politico-military dialogue took place between Japan and Israel via a video conference on Jan. 27.

TAKAHASHI Katsuhiko, Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NOGUCHI Yasushi, Director General for International Affairs of the Bureau of Defense Policy in the Ministry of Defense and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense and the National Security Secretariat were all present from the Japanese side.

According to Japan’s MOFA, from the Israeli side, Eytan Ben-David, Deputy Head of the National Security Council (NSC), Zohar Palti, Head of the Political-Military Bureau in the Ministry of Defense, Gilad Cohen, Deputy Director General for Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense and NSC were present.

The meeting discussed a wide range of issues that included security and defense matters, as well as regional situations.
