TOKYO: The official logo for this year’s 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Kuwait has been selected from among 160 entries through consultations between the governments of Japan and the State of Kuwait.

The logo will be used in commemorative events to be held throughout the year in both countries.

The logo was designed by Ms. Yuka Satori, student at Joshibi University of Art and Design in Japan. In this logo, the number 60 is drawn by using the colors of the national flags of both countries. The cherry blossom and the wave lines represent the prosperous and lasting relations between Japan and the State of Kuwait.

The copyright of the logo belongs to the Embassy of Japan in the State of Kuwait, the foreign ministry in Tokyo said.
