US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is unlikely to attend a meeting of the Group of 20 foreign ministers in Nagoya, Japan, later this week, informed sources said Wednesday.
The State Department said that Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan will travel to Nagoya to lead the US delegation to the G-20 meeting.
At the meeting, set for Friday and Saturday, Sullivan “will convey US support for building strong, reciprocal, and balanced bilateral trade and investment relationships,” the department said.
