SEOUL: North Korea fired two ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan on Wednesday, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
The objects appear to have fallen outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, according to the Japan Coast Guard.
North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency said Monday that the country succeeded in long-range cruise missile tests on Saturday and Sunday, in which new-type missiles hit targets 1,500 kilometers away after flying for over two hours.
