TOKYO: Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs HONDA Taro attended the 50th National Foundation Day Reception of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) held in Tokyo on Dec. 2, Japan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Honda offered congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE and stated that he would like to strengthen cooperation in various fields regarding Japan-UAE relations, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022.

UAE’s Ambassador to Japan, Shehab Ahmed Al Fahim, highlighted in his speech the prospects and potentials of development in the UAE towards the next 50 years, and outlined the history of the UAE over the past fifty years.
