No new fatality cases were reported among people with the virus in the Japanese capital.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 infection cases stood at 35.1 as of Sunday, up 43.9 pct from a week before.
The number of COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms under the Tokyo government’s criteria stood at two, unchanged from Saturday.
