TOKYO: Tokyo’s new coronavirus cases numbered 78 on Friday, double the week-before level, the metropolitan government said.

There was no COVID-19 fatality, while the number of severely ill patients under the metropolitan government’s standards stood at one, unchanged from Thursday.
