TOKYO: Mizuho Bank of Japan said Friday that some of its automated teller machines have been unusable since around 9 a.m. on the day (midnight Thursday GMT).

The bank, the core unit of Mizuho Financial Group Inc., is looking into the cause of the incident.

Mizuho Bank is calling on customers with an urgent need for transactions to use ATMs in other locations, saying that it is ready for consultations over related costs with affected clients.
