TOKYO: Two Chinese coast guard ships left Japanese territorial waters around the Senkaku Islands in the southernmost Japan prefecture of Okinawa on Sunday morning after intruding into the waters the previous day.
The two Haijing ships crossed into the Japanese waters on Saturday afternoon, according to the Japan Coast Guard’s 11th regional headquarters in the Okinawa capital of Naha.
The Chinese vessels left the Japanese waters around 11:25 a.m. Sunday (2:25 a.m. GMT) after repeatedly moving into and out of the areas in line with the movements of a Japanese fishing boat, officials of the regional coast guard headquarters said.
