TOKYO:The Japanese government is planning to lift the ban on online sales of COVID-19 antigen test kits as early as this month, officials said Tuesday.
The move is aimed at giving people easier access to test kits as hospitals are flooded with suspected patients due to surging COVID-19 cases.
Under law, pharmacists are currently required to give explanations to users if COVID-19 antigen test kits are used outside hospitals.
