Japanese Foreign Minister HAYASHI Yoshimasa surprised participants at the eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-8) in Tunisia on Saturday by demonstrating his skills on the piano.

Hayashi, who is leading the Japanese delegation at a development conference in Tunis, was captured on camera sitting down at a piano preforming a rendition of the Beatles’ song  “Let it be” to the applause of the attendees.

About 5,000 participants attended the conference, and among those are 48 representatives of African countries, including at least 20 heads of state or government.
