Kishida sends condolences to Indonesia over quake deaths

TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio sent a message of condolences Tuesday to Indonesian President Joko Widodo after Monday’s major earthquake killed hundreds of people in the Southeast Asian country.

In the message, Kishida said that he is in deep grief especially as he recalls the warm welcome he received at a Group of 20 summit in Indonesia last week.

He sent his heartfelt prayer for fast recovery of disaster victims and early reconstruction of afflicted areas, vowing to provide necessary support and cooperation.
