The Tokyo Central New Rotary Club held a presentation ceremony Monday at their regular meeting place, the Imperial Hotel in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, in order to donate 20 mattresses for “Keep Moms Smiling,” a non-profit organization that supports families accompanying hospitalized children.

At the ceremony, Yuki Mitsuhara, the representative of the NPO, said, “The corona disaster has prevented mothers accompanying their kids from being able to go home. I hope that mothers can get a little better sleep.”

Phiten Co., Ltd., which deals in bedding and healthcare products, offered the mattresses at friendly prices.

Junko Marui, a member of the Central New Rotary Club, told Arab News Japan, “This time, we were able to donate mattresses utilizing the Rotary Foundation system and with the contribution of our club. Through these activities, we would like to continue working to contribute to the lives of many people.”

The NPO was established in November 2014 under the slogan, “We keep moms smiling!” They support mothers and families who are raising sick children and also children with developmental difficulties.
