TOKYO: An exhibition of Bahraini pearl jewelry was formerly opened by Yamanashi Prefecture Governor NAGASAKI Kotaro and Bahrain Ambassador to Japan Ahmed Mohammed Al-Dosari, to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The “Bahraini Pearl and Gold Industry” exhibition was held in cooperation with the Danat Institute at the Yamanashi Jewelry Museum from November 2 until November 28 in Yamanashi Prefecture to the west of Tokyo.

Visitors to the exhibition could view golden jewelry inlaid with Bahraini natural pearls in addition to a group of raw natural pearls. A video narrating the history of the manufacture and extraction of natural pearls and the prosperous history of this industry was also available for viewing.

The opening ceremony was attended by LINO Ichiro, Director of the Yamanashi Jewelry Museum, officials of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to Tokyo as well as businessmen and guests with an interest in jewelry.
