TOKYO: Dr. Nazar Bahshaib, Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of the Republic of Yemen, and 13 other Yemeni government officials paid a courtesy call on Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, TAKAGI Hiroshi on March 3.
Takagi said at the meeting that Japan is actively supporting and strengthening its diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Yemen. The Japanese vice minister asked the Yemeni officials for constructive support of Tokyo’s efforts.
In response, State Minister Bashhaib expressed his gratitude for Japan’s assistance and said he would like to continue strengthening cooperative relations to develop Japan-Yemen relations further.
According to the foreign ministry in Tokyo, both sides confirmed that they would continue to develop their bilateral friendly relations and exchange views on Yemen and the humanitarian situation.
