Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary, Yoshihide Suga, told a press conference Thursday that United States’ role in the Middle East peace process plan is quite big, and Japan highly evaluates the strong involvement of President Donald Trump.
Suga, commenting on Trump’s speech, added, “We expect that concrete movement will develop to achieve peace soon by this US proposal.”
Explaining the Japan government's principle, Suga said, “Japan supports the solution between the two countries,”.
He further stated. "We take this opportunity of US proposal of vision for peace and we expect that direct bilateral negotiations between Israel and Palestine would re-start."
