Japanese sources told Arab News that there are no Arab passengers on the Diamond Princess cruise ship docked at the Yokohama port, but confirmed the presence of 15 Israelis subject to the Japanese quarantine.

The 15 Israeli will be evacuated from the ship by Thursday, according to the Jerusalem Post.

According to reports, the Japanese authorities allowed 328 Americans to leave the ship Sunday afternoon, and a US plane transported them to a military base in Texas to undergo a quarantine.

About 3,000 people remained on the ship, including 454 who were confirmed to be carrying the virus, but without symptoms. Some countries are seeking to move their citizens from the ship on charter flights.
