A Doctors Without Borders shelter housing more than 100 staff and their families in the southern Gazan city of Khan Younis was on Monday hit by an Israeli shell, the international aid organization reported.
Among the four people injured was a staff member’s five-year-old daughter, who was said to be in a critical condition.
In a post on X, the medical charity, also known as Medecins Sans Frontieres, said: “We’re trying to understand what happened. MSF had informed Israeli forces that this was an MSF shelter. We did not receive evacuation orders.
