DUBAI: The medical team at the Emirati field hospital in Gaza said on Saturday that it had conducted remote consultations on a number of complex cases using Starlink technology since it was provided by the UAE seven months ago.

Emirati medical staff have successfully treated numerous patients, including children, and conducted 20 consultative sessions with leading specialists worldwide using the technology, which enables doctors from around to the world to provide remote consultations, the Emirates News Agency reported on Saturday.

The sessions at the field hospital covered 50 cases, leading to the development of tailored treatment plans for patients, some of whom were referred to medical centers in the UAE for further treatment.

This all comes as part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to support Gaza’s severely strained healthcare sector.
