The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Tokyo, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Dossari, expressed the embassy’s preparedness in providing Bahraini students in Japan with aid and advice during the coronavirus age.
The Bahraini Ambassador recently gave a virtual lecture to a group of Bahraini students abroad, organized by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) on May 13. The video conference was prepared in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies under the title "Ambassadors of the Nation" as part of a series of lectures via the Internet.
According to Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Dossari informed students of their rights, guaranteed by international human rights organizations, mentioning the Universal Human Rights Declaration, the two international covenants, and the Declaration on the Human Rights of Individuals Who are not Nationals of the Country in which They Live.
He stressed that students should be aware of the host countries’ laws to protect themselves from legal accountability.
The ambassador also highlighted all of Bahrain’s global embassies’ involvement in serving their citizens abroad and caring for their interests.
Al-Dossari also explained that efforts were still in place to evacuate any Bahraini citizens abroad wishing to return home after the global spread of COVID-19.
He advised those wishing to return to Bahrain to register through Wejhaty or contact the country’s embassies abroad.
The Bahraini Ambassador spoke to students about Bahrain’s foreign policies, its political system, and its judicial powers.
