DUBAI: Another part of the wheat silos in the Port of Beirut collapsed on Tuesday, television news channel Al Arabiya reported.
Video footage captured the moment a massive cloud of dust filled the air as part of the silos collapsed.
#BREAKING The last remaining 8 silos of the Beirut port silos’ northern block collapsed minutes ago sending up a cloud of dust. Experts had said the collapse of the northern block, where fermented grains had been ablaze for over a month, was “inevitable.”

A fire had spread through the remaining debris and grain that had been left behind after the Aug. 4, 2020 blast.
Authorities had on Sunday evacuated all employees from the vicinity, while civil defense teams were reportedly on standby as a precautionary measure.
