TOKYO: The Saudi Arabian Cultural Office in Tokyo celebrated Saudi Founding Day on Saturday and congratulated King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia.
The event was hosted by the Cultural Office and attended by Saudi Ambassador Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, along with Japanese academia and several students.
Ambassador Binzagr said the celebration marked an affirmation of a long journey of sacrifices and achievements that helped build today’s Saudi Arabia.
“On this day, we recall the great efforts made by the founder of the first Saudi state, which was the starting point for later stages of unification and development in different eras and which we live in today with pride and honor as an ongoing success story,” Binzagr said.
The ambassador noted how the first Saudi state brought unity, reform and organization values, he said, that continued through the ages until the modern era and to the unification of the Kingdom under King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud.
“Saudi Founding Day is a celebration of a long history of determination and will, and it is a moment when we return to our roots and remember the establishment of our blessed state, which has carried the banner of unity and progress since its inception,” he added.
He also mentioned the close relations Saudi Arabia has with Japan with the hope that “the path of cooperation and friendship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan will continue to new horizons.”
Counselor Bader Al-Otaibi explained that the day marks the founding of the first Saudi state in 1727 by Imam Muhammad bin Saud. Celebrating the historic occasion, he added, “reflects pride in the Kingdom’s rich heritage and reaffirms the unity and enduring legacy of the Saudi people.”
“On this day, we remember the heroic sacrifices of our ancestors, who built a strong political entity based on justice, stability, and development. Today, under wise leadership, the Kingdom continues on this path, guided by Saudi Vision 2030, which serves as a roadmap for a prosperous future filled with achievements and ambition.”
He pointed out how modern Saudi Arabia draws inspiration from “the determination and values instilled by the country’s forefathers” as it moves forward “toward a brighter future, strengthening the Kingdom’s position on the regional and global stage.”
“May Allah continue to bless our beloved country with security and prosperity and grant our leaders success in carrying forward the journey of growth and development.”
