RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced 49 more deaths from COVID-19 and 3,402 new cases of the disease on Wednesday.

Of the new cases, 401 were reported in Riyadh, 283 in Dammam, 229 in Hufof, 198 in Makkah and 173 in Qatif.

The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 132,760 after 1,994 more patients recovered from the virus.

A total of 1,698 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.
