RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced 30 more deaths from COVID-19 and 1,968 new confirmed cases of the disease on Sunday.

Of the new cases, 11 percent were recorded in Hufof with the city reporting 208 cases. Taif reported 195 cases, Riyadh 126, Makkah 109 and Buraidah 77.

The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 220,323 after 2,541 more patients recovered from the virus.

A total of 2,733 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.
