RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced 13 deaths from COVID-19 and 1,112 new infections on Sunday.

Of the new cases, 260 were recorded in Makkah, 209 in the Eastern Province, 196 in Asir, 193 in Riyadh, 51 in Madinah, 44 in Hail, 40 in Jazan, 37 in Al-Baha, 29 in Najran, 17 in Tabuk, seven in the Northern Borders region and three in Al-Jouf.

The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 482,414 after 1,189 more patients recovered from the virus.

A total of 7,976 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.

Over 19.6 million doses of a coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
