The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) is a standalone legal not-for-profit research center, managed by a board of directors and chaired by the Minister of Environment, Water & Agriculture, their official website shares.
“In 2011, Estidamah was set up upon a joint agreement between the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA) and King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh Techno Valley to serve as the main office of the Center, with the support of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC),” their website states.
The center dedicates their research and studies to assuring sustainable agricultural products, while also continually addressing challenges including water scarcity.
According to the website, Estidamah is “conducting applied research in sustainable agriculture to promote collaboration, technology, and knowledge transfer in the areas of horticulture.”
Estidamah is broadening their impact through the extensive list of services offered including research, consultation, and training.
