Assistant Minister of State for African Affairs Ambassador Sami Al-Saleh met with the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Fumio Iwai, to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia and Japan share strong diplomatic ties, with the two nations having maintained relations since 1955. The two countries have also cooperated in several areas, including energy, infrastructure, and cultural exchange, among others.
