DUBAI: Kuwait has dispatched its seventh aid plane to Khartoum as part of the country’s support for Sudan in the midst of an ongoing flood crisis, state news agency KUNA reported.
The plane was loaded with 40 tons of aid for people affected by the flooding in the country.
The Director General of the Direct Aid Society Abdulrahman Al-Sumait said the relief comes as part of Kuwait’s approach to support Sudan’s town of Sennar and the rest of the impacted areas.
Kuwait is among the top contributors of aid to help the country overcome the catastrophe after it transported approximately 250 tons of aid, a Supreme Committee for Floods Management in Sudan spokesman said.
