DUBAI: The third edition of the Dubai Esports and Games Festival (DEF 2024) will take place from April 19 to May 5, bringing 17 days full of gaming tournaments and panels.
DEF 2023, which took place over the span of 5 days in June 2023 at Expo City, attracted more than 26,000 visitors. It featured international content creators, such as MiniMinter and AboFlah.
This year’s edition will take place at Dubai’s World Trade Center for the first time and will feature a variety of new games and tournaments.
On May 1 and 2, the festival will hold a GameExpo Summit, which will have gaming industry leaders share insights on a variety of topics like artificial intelligence, Web3, and the Metaverse.
Play Beyond, an influencer-led esports tournament, will take place on May 4 and 5. The 2023 edition included tournaments in games such as Call of Duty, Fall Guys, Rocket League, and Fortnite.
DEF 2024 will also host a Minecraft education challenge for students from all schools in the UAE.
Founded in 2022, DEF is an annual festival that celebrates everything related to gaming and esports.
