
After season two concluded in Dec. 2023, the creators of the critically acclaimed anime ‘Spy × Family’ announced on Sunday that the show will return for a third season as they revealed the new season’s first poster.
The creators made the announcement at a special event that took place at Tokyo’s Musashino Forest Sports Plaza; however, a release date was not announced.

The poster, revealed on X, was drawn by Kazuaki Shimada and designed by Japanese art director Yuni Yoshida.
Based on a manga by Tatsuya Endo, the series follows a spy who must create a family to complete a mission. However, he accidentally adopts a daughter who is a telepath and marries a woman who is an assassin.

The anime started airing in 2022. In 2023, it won multiple awards, such as Animation of the Year, Best Comedy, and Best New Series at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival, as well as the Character License Award at Japan’s Character Brand Licensing Association’s Japan Character Awards.
A movie based on the manga, titled ‘Spy × Family Code: White,’ was released in Dec. 2023 and earned more than 1 billion yen within its first three days.
The first two seasons of the show are currently streaming on the American anime streaming service Crunchyroll.
