Japanese UAE-based bookstore Kinokuniya has opened the Shonen Jump Shop pop-up store at Dubai Mall and Galleria Mall in Abu Dhabi.

The new pop-up features exclusive merchandise, collectables and goodies of popular Shonen Jump characters from One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba and more.

Kinokuniya’s store manager Steve Jonas told Arab News Japan about the Shonen Jump Shop pop-up store. “In 2021, SHONEN JUMP SHOP was opened in Shanghai by Shueisha Bandai Namco. Since then, it has become a major center for manga and collectables. On seeing the success of this initiative, Vice President Mori partnered with SBN to bring the concept first to Kinokuniya Taiwan and with a rollout to all Kinokuniya stores in the Asia and Oceania region.”

“Many items sold in the world are in breach of copyright and trademarks. Kinokuniya always aims to sell authentic collectables. The Shonen Jump partnership is an example of how anime and manga fans can trust Kinokuniya with official and unique merchandise,” he added.

Steve mentioned that the store was launched last week for the Eid Al Fitr Holidays and hundreds of items from inexpensive pins to the wildly popular One Piece Art book have been sold.

“We are working with our partner to obtain even more licenses,” Steve said. “The Shonen Jump Shop will be a permanent addition to Kinokuniya in the UAE. We aim to enhance this brand even further.”
