TOKYO: Japan’s famous Ghibli Park is giving fans a rare opportunity to visit after dark this summer—for a limited time.
As ‘Sora News 24′ points out, Ghibli Park—based on the fantastical worlds of Studio Ghibli—is unlike any other amusement park.
Rather than focusing on heart-racing thrills, the park immerses visitors of all ages in the mystical and iconic worlds created by the beloved animation studio.
Mononoke Village (inspired by ‘Princess Mononoke‘) and the Valley of Witches (featuring locations from ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’, ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’, and ‘Earwig and the Witch’) will remain open until 7:30 p.m.
Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse—a museum showcasing celebrated Ghibli art and screening short anime films—will offer two additional entry slots at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
These extended hours will only be available on the first three Fridays of August: August 2, 9, and 16.
