The Pokémon Company has recently released an animated short called “Pokétoons,” which pays tribute to the classic slapstick cartoons by the Looney Tunes.
The short cartoon feature includes Pokémon characters Scraggy and Mimikyu. It also uses the classic vintage animations with the timeless comedy of a Looney Tunes cartoon.
The animation, which was uploaded to Japanese Pokémon Kids TV, does not use dialogue and starts off with the traditional Warner Bros introduction, placing Pikachu and a Pokéball instead of Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig.

The cartoon portrays a story about a hungry Scraggy looking for a bag of heart-shaped beans on a train. It then comes face to face with the Pikachu imposter Mimikyu living in the sack of beans.
According to IGN, Taku Inoue directed “Pokétoons” along with Miyako Makio, Ryousuke Senbo, Shinichi Suzuki, and Shuya Yoshisato working on the animation.
