The United Arab Emirates' Dubai Opera is bringing the music home to locked-down fans because of coronavirus restrictions, with a series of virtual sessions and performances from famous artists that would be live streamed on social media.
Kicking of the series would be Tunisian artist Ghalia Benali, accompanied by Ali Shaker Al-Bayati on Qanun. Benali will perform a set of her best songs and take requests from audiences in a live interactive session on Dubai Opera’s Instagram channel on June 11 at 8 p.m. Dubai time.
Benali is also expected to exclusively introduce a new song written by Emirati poet “Meera Al-Kasem”, with music produced and composed by Benali.
