Kyoto-based textile producer Chiso has replicated their exclusive kimono fabrics and made available on one of Nintendo’s most popular games, ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons.’

The dyed fabrics can be downloaded through the game’s Able Sisters tailor shop, by typing in Chiso’s creator code (MA-3850-3955-5752) in the custom design portal.

Once the code is typed in, a variation of kimonos will be available for the ANCH characters to dress up in. Chiso has prints that come in red, pink, green and blue, each replicating an already existing design.

The Japanese fabric producer has been creating elaborate and traditional kimonos since 1555 in the Kyo Yuzen technique, which is a dye technique directly applied to the fabric and the designs that depict nature and animals of different seasons with vibrant colors.

The kimonos are difficult to come across outside of Japan and are expensive to buy.
