Japanese conglomerate Sony and fast fashion retailer Zara have unexpectedly collaborated to release a PlayStation-themed kids’ sneaker.
Inspired by the PlayStation 1, the shoe is grey with a black trim was released July 22. The tongue of the sneakers features a classic colored PlayStation logo and the heels show the PS1 power buttons.
Instead of laces, the shoes have an elastic band, with the well-known triangle, circle, X and square combo, a direct tribute to the PlayStation controller’s buttons.
The children’s footwear is available on the Zara website for approximately ¥5,300 Japanese yen ($50 USD.)
PlayStation has previously collaborated with Nike to release similar footwear, including the famous Air Force 1s.
