The Pokémon Company released the trailer for their new Darkest Day arc from the Sword and Shield games scheduled for release on Oct. 9 in Japan.
The anime is rumored to last four episodes, but this has not yet been confirmed.
During the arc, viewers can watch Ash and his traveling companion, Goh venture into Galar, a region in the Pokémon world occupied by character Chairman Rose who has destructive plans to capture and use a powerful dragon-like Pokémon called Eternatus to fix the regions energy problem.
The anime will cover Ash and Goh’s journey trying to put a stop to Chairman Rose, while also coming across other familiar Pokémon characters.

Chairman Rose, Ash and Goh’s opponent, is the president of Macro Cosmos and the head of the Galar Pokémon League—the regional Pokémon league of the Galar region.
