This year’s edition of Emirates Airline Festival of Literature was held in three different venues in January and February and it featured cultural activities, direct sessions with acclaimed writers, poets and experts combined with virtual appearances from international authors.
Each one of the three venues of Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2021 was packed with activities for the visitors.
Speaking exclusively to Arab News Japan, Ahlam Bolooki, Director of Emirates Airline Festival of Literature said they had followed all the rules and regulations set in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bolooki said: “We are very pleased of what we have done during the three weekends of this year’s edition as there was both virtual & direct sessions with writers, poets and experts as well engagement cultural activities for everyone.”
“The idea of holding this year’s edition of Emirates Airline Festival of Literature in three different venues was to collaborate with cultural centers like Jameel Arts Centre & Alserkal Avenue because the present cultural activities & we share the same of providing unique cultural experience,” she added.
Regarding next year’s edition of Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Bolooki explained: “We love to create new experiences to our visitors as we made this year’s festival to be hold for three weekends so that they won’t feel rush to attend the festival as well to reach new people who have passion for arts & culture who didn’t attend the festival before. In the end, we were able to present an engaging & unique experience including virtual sessions where we have reached to global audience for the first time & we are looking forward to keep doing it so that we can give the opportunity to many people around the world to join our sessions & be part of the festival.”
