DUBAI: Illumination’s new animated film of Super Mario Bros.’ co-producer Shigeru Miyamoto recently revealed that voice actor Chris Pratt’s performance in the new movie is “phenomenal.”
The Japanese producer said he couldn’t wait for people to hear it in the film.

According to TooFab entertainment news website, Miyamoto said the Italian accent will be represented. “We definitely nod to that,” he added.
Other cast members in the animation include the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad and Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong.
Charles Martinet, who has voiced Mario and many other Nintendo characters in games, will also voice “surprise cameos” in the movie.
Super Mario Bros. is expected to release in Dec. 21 next year. Universal Pictures will distribute the film.
