Critically acclaimed animated movie ‘Belle’ is now showing in Middle East cinemas

DUBAI: The highly anticipated adventure animation ‘Belle’, From the Academy Award nominated director Mamoru Hosoda and studio Chizu is now available around cinemas in the MENA region.

‘Belle’ premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, and was the third highest grossing Japanese film of 2021. The movie was previously released in Japan in July 2021.

A representative from Front Row Entertainment told Arab News Japan: “We’re very excited to be releasing Mamoru Hosoda and Studio Chizu’s heartfelt film Belle, in partnership with MBC Shahid. Anime and animation fans in the Middle East have been clamoring for the theatrical release of the film, which has been a huge critical and commercial success across the world”.

“Front Row is proud to continuously bring the most-anticipated anime films to the Middle East, with many more to come in 2022. We can’t wait for audiences here to experience the magic of Belle, and beyond,” he added.

‘Belle’ has received five Annie Award nominations, including one for Best Independent Animated Feature. Its total makes it the most nominations for a Japanese anime film ever at the awards, surpassing previous films Spirited Away, Millennium Actress (both 2001), and Weathering with You (2019) with four.
