Japanese "gyudon" beef-on-rice bowl restaurant operator Yoshinoya Co. said Wednesday that it will launch a menu line themed after popular anime and game series Pocket Monster, or Pokemon, on Dec. 19.

Yoshinoya outlets nationwide will offer the "Poke-Mori" menu, featuring gyudon or curry with rice served in a bowl resembling the "Poke Ball," used to catch pokemons. Each meal set will come with juice and a figurine of one of the six pokemons whose names include "don."

The gyudon set will be priced at 498 yen, and the kids-size gyudon and curry sets at 448 yen, all plus tax.

The Poke-Mori menu will be available until March next year.

Yoshinoya plans to roll out more Pokemon-themed items later under the one-year collaboration project.
