JEDDAH: Jeddah Season in Saudi Arabia witnesses many young cosplayers, who variously dress up as character and walk around, not only in very popular ‘Anime Village’ but also in any area in City Walk zone.
Saudi Arabia’s interest in Japan and its culture is reflected through the amount of people who enjoy cosplaying.
At Jeddah Season, educational opportunities are given to visitors to learn about Japanese culture and international experiences, through the field of anime in addition to costumed entertainers and retail stores that open in the event. It runs an hour a day from Monday to Wednesday.
Many cosplayers at Anime Village said they could not miss the opportunity for them to cosplay because they have watched anime dubbed in Arabic since their youth.
Also at Riyadh Season, people competed with each other in eye-catching costumes to make thousands of memories at the masquerade, which was the biggest event of its kind in the kingdom.
