What makes the poster reveal special is the fact that it has both hints of the movie’s animation style and some of its locations/characters.
In the poster, Mario is seen standing in a Toad town, with one of the Toad characters wearing a Captain Toad backpack, and above the town are the floating islands from Mario Galaxy, colorful pipes and Princess Peach’s castle.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie will feature Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong, Jack Black as Bowser and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad.
The movie is scheduled to premiere on April 7, 2023.
