‘Sharar’s World: Sci-fi story of an Emirati hero with Japanese Ninja techniques of the past

DUBAI: Established in 2017 as a member of Dubai Small & Meduim Size Establishment, Arab Comics (AC Comics) Specialized in storytelling through publications and animation.

AC Comics introduced the first ever Arabic Multiverse concept with strong focus on sci-fi, action, adventure, comedy, drama, horror & mystery.

Rashid Al Rahmani, Founder and CEO of AC Comics told Arab News Japan about his inspiration for Japanese anime & manga: “Anime and manga had always a special place in my heart while growing up. I loved the story telling aspect of it, in many cases these stories were depiction of great literature works of popular books and novels. I was and still is a big fan of many different anime series, classic movies and related manga books.”

“Some of my favorite’s anime series are Future Boy Conan, UFO Robot Grendizer, Tetsujin-28, etc… as well many anime movies like Grave of the Fireflies,” he added.

Al Rahmani is known for creating “Sharar’s World,”  which is the story is related to AC Comics Multiverse and follows Hadif ‘the chosen one’ in his journey back in time to Japan in the year 1612. Hadif once an aimless teenager will spend the next 10 years “living day by day and trying to become the best version of himself in this strange world, anticipating and wondering if he would ever go back to his timeline. Until then, he will stay strong, focused and further develop his skills to defend himself & others against all harm. It’s a story of an Emirati teenager who will become a man and a full-fledged Ninja.”

Al Rahmani mentioned that one of the challenges for “Sharar’s World” was creating the plot and attaching it to a bigger universe.

About the feedback for “Sharar World”, Al Rahmani said: “It’s very positive, the plan is to release the animated series by the end of 2023. As far as comic goes, we have two released titles one for children and the other is for young adults by March and Summer 2023.”

Regarding AC Comics upcoming projects, Al Rahmani said: “There is a Mini Animated horror and crime TV series titled (Circle City Chronicles – Detective Sara) which is part of ever expanding Sharar World. We have plans to release by 2024. Next, there is an Animated movie titled the Challenger based on new stories. Genre is Mecha, Action, Adventure and Drama. The movie is currently in development.”

“Also, we have plans to release two new young adults comic titles this year, first one is ‘Sharar World – The Aftermath’ & the second one called ‘Sky Falcon and the Lizard,’ he added.
