Netflix MENA is bringing a whole new wave of popular Japanese anime classics such as Studio Ghibli’s Totoro and Ponyo starting Feb. 1.
The streaming service announced that over twenty Japanese films will be released over the next three months. Most of the films and series will be subtitled and dubbed in Arabic.
However, the Studio Ghibli releases will not be available in Japan.
“We’ve listened to our fans and have made the definitive decision to stream our film catalogue. We hope people around the world will discover the world of Studio Ghibli through this experience,” said Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki in a statement.
