Tokyo: Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said Tuesday that he has decided to cancel a visit to Cambodia, as he needs to deal with the aftermath of the strong earthquake that mainly hit Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan, on Jan. 1.
Suzuki had planned to visit Cambodia and Sri Lanka from Tuesday through Friday.
He will visit Sri Lanka for two days from Thursday. Japan is leading debt restructuring for the South Asian country, which has effectively defaulted on its foreign debt.
