Sony and Honda’s new electric vehicle AFEELA 1 is officially available for preorder, the two organizations announced on Tuesday at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
Two versions of the AFEELA 1 are available to pre-order, including the base “Origin” model in a single Core Black color option, and a more expensive and feature-heavy “Signature” version that comes in Tidal Gray and Calm White as well as Core Black.
The two companies said that the orders of the Origin model will reach customers by 2027. The Signature model is likely to reach earlier, with an expected delivery date of mid-2026.
The base model features 19-inch alloy wheels, while the other model features larger 21-inch alloys and dual screens that make for a mini entertainment center in the backseat.
Both cars will have AI-powered AFEELA Intelligent Drive and AFEELA Personal Agent functionality, spatial audio sound systems, 5G connectivity and more.
According to Sony and Honda, the cars will have a 300-mile range, with fast-charging compatibility with Tesla’s Superchargers.
Sony-Honda Mobility CEO Yasuhide Mizuno said that “AFEELA 1 can be called a buddy, combining advanced software with meticulously refined hardware.”
Mizuno said that the advanced car was developed for “era of autonomous driving.”
The AFEELA 1 is available for pre-orders in California and are priced at ¥14,181,455 ($89,900 USD) and ¥16,232,166 ($102,900 USD) respectively.
