
TOKYO: Suzuki Motor Corp. notified the transport ministry on Thursday that it will recall a total of some 1.15 million vehicles to replace defective parts.
Subject to the recall are 11 models, including the Wagon R minivehicle, manufactured between August 2012 and February 2016.
Over 800 problems caused by defects such as insufficient engine component durability have been reported, according to the automaker.
The recalled models include Nissan Motor Co.'s Moco and Mazda Motor Corp.'s Flair, both minivehicle models supplied by Suzuki.
