TOKYO: Japanese game maker Nintendo Co. said Thursday that its group net profit in fiscal 2020, which ended in March, hit a record high of 480,376 million yen, up 85.7 percent from the previous year.
Nintendo also reported an operating profit of 640,634 million yen, up 81.8 percent, on sales of 1,758,910 million yen, up 34.4 percent.
For fiscal 2021, the company projected an operating profit of 500 billion yen, down 22.0 percent from fiscal 2020, and a net profit of 340 billion yen, down 29.2 percent, as well as sales of 1,600 billion yen, down 9.0 percent.
