DUBAI: Japan’s Ambassador to Kuwait MORINO Yasunari visited Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Meshaal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah on May 5.

During the visit, the two officials discussed several issues surrounding investments and reaffirmed their cooperation to enhance ties between the two countries.

Japan and Kuwait will celebrate their 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in December.

In 1961, Japan was among the first countries to recognize the independent State of Kuwait. Then both countries agreed to exchange ambassadors.
